Marine Litter - Raising Awareness to Act

The deposition and accumulation of solid waste in the marine environment – marine litter – is an emerging problem with significant environmental, social and economic impacts. It is estimated that there are millions of tons of garbage in the ocean, and it is imperative to minimize the accumulation of debris.
The course is addressed to everyone that wants to know more about the subject for professional, academic or personal reasons. Throughout the four themes dealt with, the course offers a multidimensional approach to the subject and intends to foster a critical analysis and reflection. It is expected that the mastery of these subjects will stimulate a more informed and conscious action of the participants.
